– inspiration –
The emotions and sensations represented by colours are the starting point for our Woman collection this spring-summer season 2019. It’s a collection that has a marked branded feel and in which colour —red, blue, yellow and green — takes centre stage.
Red is passion and life and we associate it with Mexico. Mexico gives us spices and golden sunsets. We’ve taken its most passionate elements and given our clothing an Aztec feel.
Blue, representing calm and intelligence, takes us to the north of Africa, between Morocco and Marrakesh, where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic. The dyes, the markets and the people have led us to more relaxed garments in which blue is a prominent feature.
Yellow is knowledge and learning. It takes us to India, where we have found inspiration in its flavours and its scents. This inspiration is reflected in the yellow and earth tones and in all the lurex featured in the collection.
Green is the tropics. It’s the jungle; it’s the sea. The tropics take us to the point at which summer begins, when the temperatures rise and our clothes become lighter.
In this collection, blends are once again a feature of our brand. We find inspiration everywhere: in markets, in sunsets, in food…
Through the clothes that make up the SS19 collection, we want to captivate you with the colours, senses, places and flavours that have inspired us.
The SS19 collection has two main focuses: creating new designs and updating our DNA. So we have combined both of these strands and created complete looks for all tastes.
We’ve immersed ourselves in comfort and wearability with clothes that can be freely combined to cover every moment of the day. We’ve gone for looser-fitting clothes and all-terrain footwear: trainers.
We’ve added value with new embroidery and incorporated lurex as a striking element running through the entire collection. We are going back to our roots and bringing back our greatest successes. Robots, logomania and our iconic Mickey jacket are all back. We’ve updated our classic designs and created new ones based on market trends.
– the colours -MEX & MATCH (RED)
Red is the sound of ranchera music and the taste of spice. It is shaped like a cactus, but with flowers, skulls and hearts growing from its spines. Mexico is imbued with the colour red, just as our clothes are imbued with an Aztec feel.
So classic tin crafts become silver embroidery, Huichol art is transferred to all types of prints and we’ve even managed to turn lucha libre masks into iconic jackets.
Some of the most striking garments are jackets, with colour block biker jackets (in yellow, red, white and black), and parkas in which we’ve expanded our use of colour and featured striking floral embroidery and jewelled animals.
New highlights for this season include the satin bomber, for wearing day or night, and jumpers, with more feminine patterns and an updated oversized look. We’ve used lovely fabrics which are filled with colour, stripes and flowers.
We’ve also used red to pay a colourful tribute with our bags.
LAND OF BLUES (BLUE)
The Atlantic and the Mediterranean. The houses of Chefchaoue, with their endless stairs. The cloudless skies. The dyes splattered on the ground in Marrakesh’s marketplace.
Morocco is reclaiming its colour palette, and it goes beyond earth tones. This time it is blue —its own blue— that takes centre stage.
Ethnic mosaics, geometric African patterns, wax prints and Tunisian tile designs combine to create a veritable patchwork of cultures. This can be seen in dresses, jumpsuits, kimonos, palazzo pants and blouses, as well as several of our Denim and knitwear garments. Our Denim range has been updated with items in 100% cotton, as well as other fabrics.
Of particular note are our printed jackets, as well as our more classic jackets with their fabrics and decorative trims. Trousers cut in new ways, high-waisted or palazzo style, feature new prints and more comfortable fabrics. Our most casual knits ever feature floral prints, full colour, buttons and patches, feminine colours, tropical worlds, etc.
NAMASTE (YELLOW)
Our eyes are steeped in yellow, orange and golden tones. We inhale and find inspiration in the scent of lotus, jasmine and marigold, and we surrender to the charms and music of India.
Our yellow collection incorporates paisley designs, kaleidoscopic patterns and hypnotic geometric shapes. All of this combines to create a universe of Indian prints that give strength and colour to our freshest capsule collection, where comfort and versatility go hand in hand.
The most striking items from this collection are the dresses, which offer a wide range of options: long, midi, knot-front, defined waist, ruffled, etc. They’re flowing, summery, casual and cool, full of colour so you can enjoy them all summer long.
VIBRANT NATURE (GREEN)
The cool shade of the palm trees. The sound of the grass waving in the breeze. Insects leaping playfully from leaf to leaf. Green is full of life, and can transport us straight into summer.
We’ve captured all these elements, blending them with bright colours and floaty fabrics: the result is a capsule collection that is vibrant, fresh and 100% summery.
The collection is an ode to lightweight fabrics and oversized designs. Kaftans and loose-fitting ankle-length jumpsuits have become this summer’s official dress code.
ACCESSORIES
Accessories can be functional or the central piece of a look. That’s why they are absolutely essential items in any woman’s wardrobe. We’ve revolutionised them, blending fashion with function and adding a touch of the unexpected.
This can be seen in our bags with hidden backpacks, reversible shoppers, and bum bags that can be turned into handbags. We’re continuing our series of versatile 2-in-1 bags.
In the SS19 collection, we’ll have a backpack with us wherever we go. We’re championing the comfort of this accessory while adding new designs and sizes.
We’ve incorporated new designs into our list of accessories. Our most surprising designs are our wallet bags and fun cross body bum bags.
SHOES
The SS19 Shoes collection offers the season’s most comfortable shoes with updated soles, insoles and shapes.
We’ve added new ranges and are reclaiming trainers as the new standard for comfort and femininity. This summer, women will walk with us.
