Weaving of Joyous Raya in Sunway Pyramid

Sunway Pyramid this festive season where the inspiration of anyaman surrounds the mall with its delicate yet simple art form, creating an ambience like no other this coming Aidilfitri. From now until 26 July, the mall will be holding exclusive anyaman workshops and exciting redemptions!

At the community engagement event held recently, celebrities Fahrin Ahmad, Amber Chia, and Deborah Henry, along with shoppers of Sunway Pyramid folded ketupats for a good cause. Proceeds will go to National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM)’s Children’s Home Of Hope.

After the closing of the event, celebrities and guests from Kraftangan Malaysia, Masjid Al-Husna, and members of the media were treated to a sumptuous buka puasa dinner at Tarbush.

To keep the children entertained, Sunway Pyramid’s lovable mascots, Leo & Leona will be doing their Raya Roar appearance every weekend & public holiday from 27 June to 19 July at 2pm & 4pm. Be sure to get your cameras ready as they will be dressed in Raya fashion!

Come take a walk back in time as the mall’s concourse is transformed into a nostalgic Raya vision. Inspired by the tranquil lifestyle of yesteryear, the anyaman theme hopes to reengage both today’s and yesterday’s generation in reliving their childhood memories.

Interesting Raya activities and great redemptions will be ongoing at Sunway Pyramid from 26 June to 26 July 2015. The weekend activities at the Orange Concourse include the highlight – an exclusive Raya Weaving Workshop by professional craftswomen from Perbadanan Kemajuan Kraftangan Malaysia. Learn how the art of weaving as they take you step by step, creating your very own masterpiece. Shoppers get to redeem Delightful Raya Packets with a minimum spending of RM150 (RM100 for HSBC Credit Cardholders) in a single receipt while a Dazzling Raya Glass Set is rewarded for spending of RM300 (RM200 for HSBC Credit Cardholders) in 2 receipts.
