Last week, I had a chance to visit Urban Retreat Spa Located at The Curve Shopping Mall right in front of Ikea. The place is very easy to find. I don’t go much at the Curve Mall and I don’t really know how to go around it and I am sure you’ve been to a place like a new shopping mall too which you don’t know the place at all and probably you were lost and took you hours before you reach the place you’re meant to go to.

The Curve shopping Mall where Urban Retreat Spa is just a pretty simple mall to go to and good for family bonding with nearby places for the whole family to enjoy. I arrived exactly 12:00pm to the Mall and found the nearest excalator to go to the 1st floor where Urban Retreat Spa is located. Everything is pretty simple. When I reached the 1st floor There are signs pointing to different directions and one of them is The Urban Retreat Spa. So I followed the Arrow and arrived on the doorstep of the Spa before my supposedly arrival booking at 12:30pm

Well, You guys know How much I love Spa’s and massages. Like I’ve been to every single spa places or massage places in Thailand and Indonesia and few places or hotel spa’s here in Kuala lumpur. So just Imagine how excited I am to be invited to this award winning Spa and experience just the best.

This is the main front of the Urban Retreat Spa which You can find very easy! This is where they accept guests and where they do the Spa Massages specialties.

This Place is the second Lot for Urban Retreat Spa where they do the Foot Massages and can occupy a lot of people! Good for the whole family!

This is the lounge, Where the guest wait for their turn if the Spa is full, So don’t forget to book yours early! This is where guests drink their yummy Tea after their massages.

A very nice set-up if you want to have a foot, head, shoulder massage.

The cutest thing I’ve ever seen! This is where they wash your feet and clean them before your massage! Which I’ve never seen before.

This is a very good point in their Spa. I always wanted to have a massage bed like this where you can locate your face in the hole.

Of course! You only want the best for you and your family when talking about relaxation! Look at the award winning posted in their reception.

The place is really amazing. I was walking around the place and I can’t helped it but to ask the manager if what was that amazing thing I can smell all over the Spa Place. Don’t you just hate those Spa or Massage Places that smells like tiger balm or something you can’t explain haha. Well, It is a big YES for the Urban Retreat Spa, They Have made the whole place smell super amazing and just relaxing.

Also one thing I noticed is the double entrance they have for the guests. They have the first door of course, where they accept and greet guests, The second door is to separate the place into two so the noise won’t go inside where they do the massages and where the guests relax. This is to achieve the maximum peace, serenity and total relaxation of their guests which is just amazing because we all just want a very quiet place to just relax and forget everything for a while right? Like honestly, I thought I was in Thailand or Indonesia trying to escape the busy city of Kuala Lumpur.

The staffs are so friendly and approachable. The girl masseuse was amazing and no cons about her and probably all their stuffs are like that too! Her hands was so gentle but when she started doing the work and hard pressing all over my body I can just say and prove to you how professional these people are who works in Urban Retreat Spa. Probably if you are not happy with how hard or gentle their hands on you, You can ask your masseus to change it so you are comfortable the whole time. They will ask you anyway, if you are ok or what, Just tell them what you want.

I don’t normally allow them to massage the back of my neck, But from the start of my session, My whole body just gave in and fell asleep like a baby haha. I am so relax and was sleeping the whole time to the point that when the girl tells me something I can’t understand her anymore because I just want to sleep and lay down there and be so relax haha. The other best part too was the hot towel compress that smells like ginger or something. It feels so amazing! and so satisfying, The best thing to end my 90minutes Lymphatic Detox Massage! Of course don’t forget the yummy ginger tea!

Lymphatic Detox Massage is a type of gentle massage which is intended to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart. The lymph system depends on intrinsic contractions of the smooth muscle cells in the walls of lymph vessels (peristalsis) and the movement of skeletal muscles to propel lymph through the vessels to lymph nodes and then beyond the lymph nodes to the lymph ducts which return lymph to the cardiovascular system. Manual lymph drainage uses a specific amount of pressure (less than 9 ounces per square inch) and rhythmic circular movements to stimulate lymph flow.
