I can’t really remember the last time I visited or passed by Johor Bahru. But I am very happy to be visiting again and very fortunate to be invited for my friend’s wedding, yay! It was kinda a reunion actually as I’ve never seen both carinn and jessy for so long and since I’ve arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. So my Johor Bahru trip was an eventful for me and I would love to thank carinn for inviting me to your very intimate wedding and jessy for driving me around from kuala lumpur to Johor Bahru. Well, Now we just need to wait for another eventful day until I can see them again haha because all of us are adulting right now hehe.
So Jessy decided that we should stay at Thistle Hotel Johor Bahru and I definitely recommend this place as well. The Staff are very nice and the hotel itself is very good. My friend Jessy asked for a room view and it did not disappoint! The swimming pool view is amazing plus you can see the Seaview and Singapore!
The room is near the elevator and you can definitely hear kids running around but it did not disturb us in any way. Wish we could’ve tried the swimming pool as it looks amazing from our Room View. The hotel guests are mostly families with Kids so definitely recommended for families and friends! The room bath tub is definitely a highlight for us. There’s a window so you can see over the TV or the bed if you’re having a hot bath. But this is a normal thing of course! I’ve had so many bathtubs with Window openings before, but it’s always a good touch when I stay in a hotel with this kind of feature. It makes it stand out from the usual hotel rooms.
Something that I think needs improvement is the window. Although the room view was stunning! Regular cleaning of the windows is highly suggested. I wouldn’t go through describing it but window cleaning is definitely needed. Another thing is the Breakfast. I always look forward to hotel breakfasts because I don’t normally eat breakfast at home. My family barely pays extra for hotel breakfast because we just don’t. We love a peaceful morning doing some other things haha then we go on and eat big during lunchtime.
Breakfast time, we went down and queued for the egg cooking station. I had sunny side up as usual. Noodles were good! Always have it with my sunny side up. Now here it goes… I went to get my coffee twice. First time I got black coffee and it wasn’t hot. Second time getting my coffee because my friend Jessy showed me her coffee and it was smoking! So I thought the coffee was hot so I went ahead and got a new one. But to my disappointment it wasn’t as hot as I expected. It was just warm. I’m even so excited to get my porridge because I was craving it the whole week and Yes! You are correct, It is not hot either. You know I’m one of those people who like my coffee hot NOT warm, there’s a big difference people! 🤣
Overall, I did enjoy my breakfast. I was full and happy. I even scored a really good seating view of the swimming pool and it felt like a quick vacation. Above is just something to be improved that maybe other people don’t have a creative outlet to tell about it. So I am telling you now haha But of course nothing serious. It’s just my personal preference. Will definitely recommend the hotel and will be coming back again if time permits. Thanks for dropping by my blog! Until the next time one! x0-Jane
