Not your ordinary Restaurant, The Oak Room Located In Nexus Bangsar South, is such an elegant place to bring your friends or family. Looking so elegant with all the chandeliers, Wines, furnitures , Good taste of style, more privacy, and friendly staffs that will help you.
So many places inside the restaurant for you to enjoy, They have karaoke room, Meeting room, Bar, Wine or Liquor Room and soon to have Cigar room as well. They have available meeting rooms too for a more private conversation or can be a casual talk as well with screens available in each rooms! My favourite would be the massage room! Don’t even miss that when you visit!
Visiting
The Oak Room is a place if you want more privacy. It is only open and only entertains members only. So I am suggesting now for you to visit them this October while you still can, Or you may lose your chance, because the next time you wanted to go and visit them is after you applied for membership and be approved by them and that’s how private they are.
Behold and prepare as you will see the 6 course meal for dinner that we had during our visit. Each Dish is paired with different wines as well, So drink up! Price is RM188 without Wines Nett Per Person. RM268 with Wines Nett Per Person.
Not really bad and expensive for a 6 course meal, I was in a food coma after my soup! Anything that you want to chance to advise or you want the chef to know for special preparation please do ask any staffs around you or tell them before you meal start.
For me, I can’t really drink much when I have so much foods to eat or when I am full already, So probably the next time I’ll be having the 6 course meal, I would be ordering without the Wine and order a different drink instead. Its up to you!
Hope you guys will enjoy the food photos below! Bon Apetit! Anything you would like to know, Just leave a comment below and I will try my best to answer it all for you! Thank you so much for reading! Cheers! jane =)
Amuse Bouche, which translates to “to please the mouth,” is a tempting appetizer that a chef usually supplies at the beginning of the meal.
Entrée – Pan-Fried Foie Gras with Duo of Pear, Onion Marmalade and Mixed Cress
Wine: Don Vinico Chardonnay Macabeo 2013
Soup: Consommé of Golden Melon with Dumpling
Wine: Valdivieso Chardonnay
Had this to clean our Palate!! Lime-y taste and really good too! Who’s excited for the main course!
Pot Roasted Black Cod with Chickpeas Puree, Sun Blushed Tomato in Vine and Lemon Thyme Veloute
Don Vinico Chardonnay Macabeo 2013
Main course above is for me, which a fish and the serving is just right for me, since by the time i had my soup I’m already full,
Pan-Fried Rack of Lamb set onto Yellow Kumara Ragout napped with Wild Rustic Sauce
Wine: WestEnd Cabernet Merlot 2013
Main Course for @jessytheklchic, and yeas we always order different foods as we can so we can both have a try and taste of everything which is very helpful and good thing to do when you are doing food review. Love the medium (rare)! Perfect!
Dessert: Strawberries Pavlova
Wine: NVY Passion Fruits
Everyone just seem to love this dessert called pavlova. It was indeed like a signature dessert/food during the MIGF.
Thought we were finish but not at all, after some one on one chit chatting with the amazing staffs after our meal, Yes they served the Petit Four which we never expected and never thought would have this after those foods we had. Totally in a food comma after that I can’t even sleep hahaha Nah! Just kidding, I guess I don’t eat that much for a 6 course meal haha
Overall, the place is an amazing place to bring friends and family for celebration or employees to celebrate or some good catch-up. Although, I thought that the place was too private that its for members only, Sounds like it was not that fun hahaha, I also notice that the place although, looks so elegant and nice, It too serious-looking or too business-y looking for a normal people like me.
It is worth a visit tho, It would be nice if you can come and have a look! I advice to try their massage room and karaoke! Your friends and family would have so much fun to think that the place looks so expensive but not at all! Yeah go ahead and visit!
