The Spectacular Media launch Event for the Malaysia International Gourmet Festival, #tasteMIGF, was held last September 12, 2014. For one fabulous gastronomic weekend, food lovers can get a tasting preview of the festival by partaking in a Super Gourmet Safari exchanging Gourmet Dollars for bite sized samples from all the Festival restaurants as they gather in one specially created location – The Theatre of Cuisines.
Another Outstanding aspect to look out for a taste MIGF is the appearance of Chef Wan, Malaysia’s Food Ambassador cum Celebrity Chef whose boisterous spirit and colloquial mis of English and Malay in his Talk shows have made him a household name both Malaysia and Beyond.
Y. Brs. Dr. Junaida Lee Abdullah, Deputy Secretary General for the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Royal Patron Tunku Naquiyuddin Tuanku Ja’afar and Organising Chairman Dato’ Steve Day was there with all the Red Hot Masterchefs trying all the foods and also answered questions from the Media/Press and Bloggers.

This year, Malaysia International Gourmet Festival runs from the 1st to 31st of October. During the Festival Month, Restaurants will serve up special Festival Menus at Special Prices and offers.
I am very happy to be included to be one of the bloggers to feature the #tastemigf 2014 with my other blogger friends. The experience was amazing like I’ve never seen before. Seeing all the Red Hot Master chefs and the Gourmet Foods was so exciting knowing that we’ve seen it first and tried it before any one else!
The event Started at 10am with the arrival of guests, sponsors, festival advisory committee members and members of the media and master chefs at Blue Concourse Sunway Pyramid. Then it was time for the Arrival of Y.A.M Tunku Naquiyuddin Ibni Tuanku Ja’affar Tunku Laxamana Negeri Sembilan, Royal Patron. Followed by the welcoming remarks of YBhg Dato’ Steve Day – MIGF Organising Chairman.
It was the day as well that we’ve seen all the Red Hot master chefs and their TVC presentation, A group photo shoot and of course the unveiling of the MIGF 2014 Billboard by the Guest of Honour.
I must say that it was such an amazing, spectacular event! Will blog about the VIP Gala Event too tomorrow! Hope you guys can come back and see it!

Isn’t it fun to try so many types of food? I would love to go to something like this, but I would definitely have to moderate what I ate!
Great event and the foodies are simply yummy.
This looks fantastic! I would love to attend these types of things, only I think I would gain 50 pounds 😛
I love seafood, all of it, and this is right up my alley!
I think this event is great and the attention to detail on the food is amazing. You can really tell the love these chefs have for food.

OMG! Who wouldn’t love to attend those kinds of event?! You are killing me with the foods! It’s glad to know that there’s something like that in the Philippines, I would love to be a part of it if there’s a next time. 😉
This would be so cool to go to. My husband and I try to partake in both the summer and winter restaurant weeks in our hometown. It always nice to try something new.
The food looks like they could be yummy but OMG, the portions are soooooooo small! It would not appease my humongous appetite! Hahaha. Great presentation and plating. Sharing this page with my son who is majoring in Culinary Arts.
