Takakurazome Kyoto; Wearable Art Meets Street Fashion at Parkamaya

What to art, Street Fashion and kendo, have in common? Takakurazome Kyoto’s latest collection that mixes it all together to create unique wearable art pieces – now available at parkamaya, fahrenheit88 mall’s largest fashion fusion floor.

Kasuhiko Takakura, a Japan-born designer of the label, is back here in Malaysia to showcase the label’s new collection for 2015 at Parkamaya, created through a blend of tie-dye, stamping and shibuki, infused with Kendo Art.

Inspired by love for nature and natural elements around him, Takakura-san’s latest takes a positive interpretation on contemporary street fashion, quoting current world issues as his muse.

Dyeing by hand is a long tradition in Japan, but it has moved into more contemporary directions under the thoughtful execution by young designers like Takakura-san, famously known for creating one of a kind master pieces using a blend of tie dye, stamping and shibuki, infused with kendo art by simple hand techniques.

All Art products (tapestry, tshirt, sneakers, etc) are personally produced by Kazuhiko Takakura with his own hands, original style and technique, so you can be sure that there will never be the same item and that it will always be unique.

Parkamaya is Located is located on the 3rd floor of Fahrenheit88 in Bukit Bintang opposite Grand Millenium hotel.
