Better Camera

It was a pleasure to receive an invite Samsung Electronics Malaysia to a preview of the new Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge held at the Grand Ballroom of The Majestic Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Majestic was the perfect setting for the preview and Majestic an appropriate way to describe the phones.

The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge certainly look impressive with its aluminium alloy frame and Gorilla glass front these phone look and feel the part. The wrap around display of the Galaxy S6 Edge is an interesting variation that sets it apart from other phones. At first glance this is a phone which challenges the iPhone 6. TALK ABOUT COLOURS.

The size is similar to the earlier models with the 5.1 inch screen size although the resolution of the display has been increased to 2,560 x 1,440 pixels which has to be one of the best on the market. One of the most notable changes is the lack of a microSD card slot and the sealed battery, design features most likely taken as part of the aim to keep the device slim. Given the reliability of Samsung and battery technology this is unlikely to be a major concern.

I liked the new feature of the double tap of the home button in order to launch the camera at any time and the 16 megapixel camera should be more than sufficient for the average user. On top of that there is an IR sensor at the top of the phone which can come in handy for those who want to use their phone as a remote.

On the front is a 5 mega pixel camera for wide angle selfies with good detail in low light and as with the Note 4 you can take a selfie by tapping the sensor at the back of the phone. I especially like the camera modes with effects like panorama and slow motion. Combined with an editing app included in the Gallery it should be and interesting tool for creating brilliant Instagram photos.

Let’s not forget the video capability with a standard resolution of 1080p HD by default and for those who need it an impressive video capability of 3,840 x 2, 160 ultra-HD modes. Perfect for any application and the video quality seemed to be excellent from the tests I did.

My Verdict:
If you belong to those stylish people, both men and women, or some one who really care and looking into something which is more stylish looking phone, then I would totally recommend you to get the Samsung S6 Edge! I am so impressed with the design! As a fashion blogger, this matters haha I guess some how the design beats apple iphone 6/+. My family is a an avid fan of Apple products all the way. But knowing and seeing the Samsung s6 edge stylish design + how shiny it is, you can just look at yourself in the screen and use it a mirror! (watch the video below to see it) You’ll even know if someone did touch your phone as it will leave a fingerprint! haha I mean, This phone is totally unique and stylish. Oh! The camera is so good in lowlight! I’ve tried it first hand in the event! It was amazing! Good for those people who loves selfie-ing 24/7 =P Watch the video below to see it.
