What is Astigmatism? Astigmatism is a common eye problem that can make your vision blurry or distorted. It happens when your cornea (the clear front layer of your eye) or lens (an inner part of your eye that helps the eye focus) has a different shape than normal.
The only way to find out if you have astigmatism is to get an eye exam. Eyeglasses or contact lenses can help you see better — and some people can get surgery to fix their astigmatism.
What is the difference between the Toric lenses and Regular Lenses? The biggest difference between toric lenses and regular lenses is the design. As opposed to regular lenses, which have one power throughout the lens, toric lenses have two different powers; one which addresses astigmatism, and one which addresses trouble with distance vision. Since they feature two different strengths, these lenses need to remain in place on your eye in order to correct your vision, unlike normal contact lenses, which have no effect if they rotate on your eye when you blink. Contact lenses for astigmatism are actually ballasted on the bottom, to prevent them from moving around on your eye.
What is the Shape Difference between Toric and Regular Lens? The main thing that sets a toric lens apart is their shape. A regular contact lens has a spherical shape. If you picture a slice of a basketball, that’s the typical shape of a normal lens. Whereas a toric lens has a donut-like shape. This odd shape is how a toric lens can correct astigmatism.

MOODNIGHT BROWN: As you all know, I’m not a fan of brown or hazel lenses. My goal is to why i’m wearing contact lenses is to change my natural eye color. This moodnight brown is definitely one to remember. Unique graphic design and distinctive look when wearing it. The brown color can also be described as chocolate color for me which is actually a good one. I haven’t tried choco coloured contact lenses before. It’s always brown or hazel. I’m quite convinced about wearing this moodnight brown color. Somehow the graphic design is hypnotizing and I do love the brown hue of this contact lens. Moodnight brown color is a good brown color for me, graphic design will be noticeable as well.
MOODNIGHT GRAY: I’m a big fan of Gray colors. If I’m picking up a coloured contact lens I’ll go straight to the Gray colors and just decide which graphic designs I like. Graphic Design is of course the same as the moodnight brown. The only thing I would add is the gray color of this one reminds me of double tint gray. Moodnight Gray is on the darker side of colors. Won’t be much noticeable compared to the moodnight brown which is lighter than the moodnight gray.
MOODNIGHT GRAY TORIC CONTACT LENS: This contact lens is especially for people that needs extra care for their eyes. If you have astigmatism, you might wanna check this one out. Moodnight both brown and gray have TORIC contact lenses so you can join in the fun! I only have the gray color, 1 piece for 1 eye only so I cannot really speak or comment on the whole experience. Although, if you have astigmatism, please make sure to know how to wear the toric contact lens for astigmatism properly. HOW TO WEAR: The astigmatism contact lenses have a “J” mark on the surface. To correct the astigmatism perfectly, you have to wear it when the “J” mark is placed at the bottom when you look at it from the front. You can also choose the power/grade of your eyes left to right and the CYL to help with your astigmatism. CLICK ME for the toric lens
Overall, the moodnight brown and moodnight gray were both comfortable to wear all day. The unique graphic design is hypnotizing or mysterious and captivating. If you want something more noticeable and eye enhancing I’ll go with moodnight brown. If I wanna be discreet about it then I’ll wear the moodnight gray as per my opinion. We all have different taste for sure! Definitely a memorable contact lens for me with their unique graphic design that stands out in the crowd
