Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week Ready To Wear 2015 x Air Asia Ready for Young Designers

Air Asia, The World’s best low cost airline for six consecutive years today announced the launch of the Air Asia Runway Ready Designer Search, A part of the airline’s continuous commitment to develop the talent of tomorrow.

AirAsia is the preferred travel partner for the upcoming KLFW RTW 2015 and in a strategic collaboration with the renowned KL Fashion Week Team, This Initiative aims to helps create a platform for young aspiring talents in the fashion industry to kick start their journey and realise their dreams to be a part of the local and international fashion scene.

Aireen Omar, CEO of AirAsia Berhad launched this one of a kind designer search together with the founder of Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week Ready To Wear Andrew Tan.

Aireen Omar commented,” AirAsia Believes in the development of young talent. We Have always been heavily involved in growing young talent, especially in sports. This new project aims to support young fashion designers — to identify the talents of Tomorrow, and to reward and support them with the highest form of exposure and opportunities available in the fashion industry. We Look forward to debut 10 young aspiring designers at the upcoming KL Fashion Week.

Andre Tan, Founder of KL Fashion Week said, ” KLFW is predominantly a platform for designers that are already in the business of fashion. KLFW RTW was conceptualized in 2013 as a B-2C platform for malaysian deisngers to showcase their ready to wear collection and ultimately high light the strength and creativity of the Malaysian Fashion Industry to local and international customers.

10 young designers will be able to showcase their creations on the prestigious runway stage of KLFW RTW 2015 and 3 best designers will be revealed at the end of the search and claim the title of “AirAsia Most Promising Designer 2015” along with the prizes which include AirAsia Runway Ready Designer Search Trophy, return flights to tokyo, sydney and hongkong up to 60,000 AirAsia BIG points each, a chance to be part of other Fashion Week in the region and more.
