KIMURAYA JAPANESE RESTAURANT OBEROI HOTEL DUBAI – I can’t deny my love for food, don’t we all? We love food and there are so many cuisines out there that we all need to explore. My friends @rubyalkuino and with the recommendation to try here @moreforles.me and I visited Kimuraya Japanese Restaurant Dubai to celebrate my friends birthday @rubyalkuino. I booked the restaurant for dinner. They are currently having a good offer for kabayans for their unlimited shabu shabu! 50aed per person and you’ll get to eat anything shabu shabu or hot pot food! You all know how I love hot pot shabu shabu back in Malaysia.

‘The outlet provides an authentic Japanese izakaya-style dining experience from Japan. Available on the menu are a range of iconic traditional and modern dishes from the country ranging from Japanese tapas to Wagyu shabu shabu (hotpot) buffet, Yakitori (Japanese style chicken skewers) and much more. The dishes are complemented by an array of beverages including rare sake, yuzu and shiso.’ (google)
LOCATION:
Kimura Japanese Restaurant Dubai is located in Business bay, Oberoi Hotel. Not sure if there’s a bus stop around but It is definitely an easy walk from the Business Bay metro station. Around 10-15minutes walk of course that is during nice weather in Dubai. If during summer, definitely need to ride taxi, careem, or uber to go there. When entering the Oberoi Hotel Lobby the Kimura Japanese Restaurant Dubai is just on the left side with a big wall sign of their name so you won’t miss it.
AMBIANCE + SERVICE:
When I first walked into the Oberoi hotel lobby it was very quiet. Upon walking in, the Kimura Japanese Restaurant Dubai is just on the same floor, left side of the lobby upon walking the hotel lobby. Ambience of the place is definitely Japanese of course, Japanese interiors with pink flowers and japanese letterings and signs. The servers were also very nice and very approachable the whole time we were there. They are all wearing Kimonos which are very cute! They should start selling them or make a photoshoot wearing them with the name of their restaurant. It gets really busy around 8pm, we ordered another batch of meat for our shabu shabu and we waited for a while before we started checking in to one of the waitresses to remind them about the order. The chef even was out there to serve you some meat which was good.
FOOD:
I felt excited upon booking the Kimura Japanese Restaurant Dubai for dinner. I haven’t had a proper shabu shabu for so long. That night we avail the 50aed kabayan offer for 50aed per person. We went inside the restaurant and settled and started ordering the food. For the soup base shabu shabu we had the dashi japanese soup and konbu seaweed. For the meat we had the Unlimited Wagyu Australian Wagyu Beef hot pot ,sausages ,meatballs, squid, salad, deep fried chicken, wagyu cutlets and many more! We were so full after and definitely walking from there to business metro helps to calm our stomach a bit haha click me for menu
DESSERT:
For the dessert, well, we didn’t really have a dessert haha but I made sure that we’re not leaving until we sang happy birthday to my friend @rubyalkuino to celebrate her birthday with us. I talked to one of the waitresses and arranged a cake for her but they didn’t have any. Although she suggested that they give complimentary ice cream with candle and will sing happy birthday with everyone and so they did! Hope Ruby liked it and it was indeed super fun.
Overall,
The place is lovely and if you want to try shabu shabu and avail the kabayan offer for 50aed! Until the end of this October 2020 only! I recommend you book in advance as the place gets busy especially with this offer this month. My opinion about The shabu shabu? Nothing to rave but it was great. The sausage and the deep fried chicken is a must to order! Oh! The sauce that the waitress mixed for us was definitely good!
