First time stand up paddle at Ignite Surface Dubai: Living in Dubai, UAE for almost 5 years now, I haven’t tried stand up paddle board or SUP at all. Dubai is surrounded by really nice beaches and there’s a lot of water activities that you can do and you won’t run out of any ideas on what to do next.
Last week I was very lucky to enjoy a free Stand Up Paddle (SUP) by @ignitesurface located in @rivabeachdxb The Palm. I booked for Saturday 5-6pm which is sunset and brought my friend with me @_wheretofindme since she already has so many experiences doing SUP or Stand Up Paddle.
We planned our saturday accordingly because you know I plan everything haha but my friend JM is the opposite. On the way there, We were contemplating if we should go straight to Ignite Surface because we were not sure if we can actually stay at the beach inside the resort and if we not, we were not ready to pay for a brunch that we don’t need haha so then, we finally decided to go down to internet metro station took Careem and went to Barasti beach instead until it is time for our booked stand up paddle or SUP.
Barasti beach was amazing! It was both our first time there to enjoy the beach and the sun and somehow the sand is fine as hell that it feels so good we can’t even explain why haha but we loved it and totally coming back next time and I’m doing another separate Vlog and Blog about barasti next time so stay tuned for that one!
So it was finally time to SUP or stand up paddle @ignitesuraface @rivabeachdbxb. My friend and I shared one SUP board as I do not have any idea how to paddle haha so I’ve been just sitting there holding two gopros while my friend is paddling both of us against the waves haha it was a good experience and will totally come back to do it by myself then and fingers crossed I won’t fall as it is getting colder now in Dubai, UAE, Winter is coming definitely.
SUP rental for 1 hour is 75aed – They have other watersports or other things to do so make sure to check them out! The staff there were all very nice too! Or if you want, check out @rivabeachdxb as they have nice food and restaurant there, sun beds and beach and pool available too.
