Went to Dotty’s Pastries and Coffee Suria KLCC. It is my first time there and my friends have been saying nice things about it. They decided to bring me there after our long road trip from Johor to KLCC to have our dinner. We were there October 09, 2022 Sunday Night around 8pm. We went and had to wait for a few minutes for seat availability. After just a few minutes, we got a table and there’s a random piece of paper with QR code that you needed to scan to see their Menu. My friend knew about it but since it is my first time, I’m clueless as no one says anything about it. I thought we were getting a proper menu because there’s a physical menu outside hehe. Scanned the barcode, ordered food and everything was good. We enjoyed the food and knowing it was pretty busy that time, we got our orders just a few minutes after ordering.
We had Dotty’s Cheeseburger & Cajun Chicken. Served with fries, salad, mashed potatoes on the side. We also had a Steak sandwich but this is a NO for us. Meat was too chewy. Spicy Seafood broth is amazing! But if you’re not a fan of spicy food I’m not going to recommend it as it is really spicy like super kick! In a good way hehe If you want to order it you must order something else. Then I ordered Matcha as my drink which is nice.
Waiters all very nice and accommodating. They served all the food to us with a smile and even accommodated all our requests like extra plates and utensils we asked for because we were sharing the food so we could try it all. Everything is already Great. We were enjoying the night and the restaurant ambiance but not Until this guy who was wearing a blue shirt that night. He just showed up and served us the Bill which we didn’t even ask for. What’s more is he didn’t even say anything at all??? As a courtesy/respect to the customer, at least say something as we didn’t ask for the bill. We were still chatting and enjoying the night. Some more he was rude to my friend who paid at the cashier. She’ll be writing a review about it. Lastly, before we left we were standing in front of the entrance and looked at the guy and gave us side-eye! Like what is the problem really?? Not even closing yet and you want us to leave?? Such behaviour I cannot accept. Hope you closed the restaurant on the dot that night. For the record, He was OK when we arrived but changed behaviour after 🤷🏻♀️ Serving the bill to the customer that they didn’t ask for is like telling the customers that they need to leave now! We are very aware what your closing time is and it’s not like we were interrupting anything? Dotty’s Pastries and Coffee is inside Suria KLCC.
I would’ve loved to come back to try their bread/pastries and some other from the menu and more matcha, But… maybe one day but not anytime soon. Would not even recommend it because I don’t want other people experiencing the same as we did. Maybe I can say to try your pastries because people are hyping about it just to be fair but also give them a warning for customer service. I dont really give low ratings on my google or tripadvisor reviews because I take things into consideration and the situation. Imagine getting low ratings and bad reviews just for one bad customer service issue? But other than that and maybe the super chewy meat Dotty’s in KLCC can be definitely a good place to go back, I would love to try the outdoors sitting maybe one day while having their pastries and matcha enjoying the day, watching people pass by.
