Arab Fashion Week – Felt like I’ve been gone for so long attending fashion shows here in Dubai, fret not! Here’s another update about very first fashion show I’ve attended this 2019, Arab Fashion Week in City Walk. It is the very first time for me attending Arab Fashion Week since they moved to City Walk from having the lovely location back in Meydan Hotel.

Although this hotel was very far and you guys know I don’t drive, and it is hard to wear an awesome outfit if You’re not driving obviously, but yeah, I love the Meydan Hotel Location it was big, extra formal for everyone, and that location felt special as people who are invited are the only one you’ll see around.

Well, I never liked the thought of Arab Fashion Week moving to city walk at all, But after my very first attending their fashion show in city walk location, I guess there are some good points to consider. Like we have so much food selection and enjoy lots of eveything from food, drinks, shopping in city walk compare to meydan hotel. The downside is, city walk space is way too small for all of the rest of the people who rsvp’d to watch the shows. I went just the right timing that night to see amato couture, but they cut the queue because it was full.

The room for the shows is too small, to think that the designers has their own list of people attending plus those people who’s attending from the arab fashion week list, Would have save us the time, if I know that I can’t get in because the designers list was the priority, I wouldn’t be there earlier just dying on the queue for an hour, instead save my time and come for the next designer.

It is something to think about next time I guess, count how many people can fit inside, then add the designers guest list + some from arab fashion week list and send the invitations, so people won’t go there and get disappointed because they cannot watch the only show they wanna see, FYI the girls behind us were invited by Amato Couture but didn‘t get to come inside because yeah, you get it.

Anyways, The plan was to attend the Amato Couture show, they cut the queue and had to wait for an hour to see the next show. FYI the next show is not even confirmed if you can get inside to watch it all depends how much people will come out to give more space, so if no people will come out then you better had something to eat and more patience to wait in line =D

I guess having the Media Pass Invite that night saved me! I managed to see the 2nd/3rd shows after amato couture bcoz of my media pass invite. I just felt tired from standing that night that I decided to skip the last show, since everyone has to get out of the last show and im not even sure if I can get inside again for the last show, thought it would’ve wasted my time if i waited and not get the chance to be inside.

Overall it was another great experience, I am a full supporter of Arab Fashion Week, their designers quite get repetitive, but they were all really good designers. I try to only attend the one that I’ve never seen before. But for the love of fashion I love seeing those models rocking the runway and rocking those amazing collections!
