Merry Christmas everyone! Hope it is not too late yet to greet you all. What did you get this year for christmas? I got flights for 2020 haha and that is awesome yeah! My family rarely get things these past few years, we indulge for new gadgets or something once in a while but we’re focusing on for more traveling in the future. Collect memories.
Moving on, This blog post is especially dedicated for my Last Win of the year 2019. I am very lucky to get invited as an Influencer from Dubai, UAE for AMFW19 Amsterdam Modest Fashion Weeks 2019 which was held at the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam.
There were so many Influencers from all over the world who came and enjoyed the shows during the 3days event. It was a very lovely location too as it is an open space and it felt like a very private event feel during the time I was there. There were booths for a lot of designers from all over the world as well that I tried to walk through and discovered so many modest fashion available. Networking is one very important thing to do during these events and I am very glad to have met amazing influencers, designers and everyone who’s been a part of The Modest Fashion Week Family.
This Year the Focus of the Modest Fashion Week is all about Self Discovery, Sustainable Fashion and Tolerance. Those three are indeed very important and if you think to apply it through Fashion it is just beautiful. Besides having those 3 topics, As What I said on the video I posted for Modest Fashion Week instagram, I am more focused on Sustainable. This is such a hot topic in the Fashion industry right now but little by little we can all contribute to this way of lifestyle.
I, myself, don’t really have much knowledge about this sustainable topic, i’m slowly learning but by doing small things we are one step closer to being sustainable. Some of the ways that I do this is by Shopping and visiting thrift shops or second hand shops. I also try to make a capsule wardrobe so I spend less time choosing what clothes to wear knowing that i am that sure, there’s something I can totally wear inside my closet.
I learned how to curate my closet and organise them very well for my full convenience. Another way is to buy clothes that are trans-seasonal meaning, buy clothes that you can wear all year round and that you can wear in different seasons, which will definitely save you money and time and will make you more creative by mix and matching the outfits or clothes that you already have in your closet.

So about the Amsterdam Modest Fashion Week 2019, The designers were all amazing! I am very impressed by the collections they showed to all of us! I wish I was one of the models wearing these different designers collections and walk the runway too! Would have been so nice wearing them! Very creative and endless choices of Modest Fashion.
